The Year of the Snake, Universal Year 9 & Preparing for the Horse, Universal Year 1 in 2026

As we move towards the close of 2025, we are standing at a powerful threshold.

This year has carried the energy of the Snake paired with a Universal Year 9—a combination that asks us not to rush forward, but to pause, reflect, and release. This is a year of shedding old skins, completing karmic chapters, and integrating wisdom gained through experience.

If 2025 has felt emotional, introspective, or quietly transformative, you’re not imagining it. This energy is intentional.

For me personally it has been exactly that- a year of shadow work, at times very emotional and releasing things that do not serve me any more. I've been quietly changing, slowly shedding the old and making room for the new.

But, before we step into what’s next, let's honor what is complete.

2025: The Year of the Snake & Universal Year 9

In many traditions, the Snake symbolizes rebirth, healing, intuition, growth and transformation. The Snake doesn’t force change—it allows what is no longer aligned to fall away naturally.

Numerologically, 2025 reduces to the number 9 (2+0+2+5 = 9).

The number 9 represents:

  • Completion and closure

  • Forgiveness and compassion

  • Emotional and spiritual integration

  • The end of long-standing cycles

  • Tying up loose ends

  • Releasing old patterns

This is not a year for pushing or proving.

It is a year for finishing, releasing, and making peace with the journey so far.

Many people feel called to let go of:

  • Old identities

  • Repeating patterns

  • Relationships that no longer reflect who they’ve become

  • Limiting beliefs

  • Old wounds

  • Old triggers

The Snake reminds us: You cannot carry old skin into a new life.

2026: The Year of the Horse & Universal Year 1

Then, everything shifts.

2026 arrives as the Year of the Horse, paired with a Universal Year 1 (2+0+2+6 = 10 → 1). This marks a powerful energetic reset.

The Horse represents:

  • Freedom and movement

  • Confidence and vitality

  • Forward momentum

  • Passion-led action

The number 1 is the energy of:

  • New beginnings

  • Leadership and independence

  • Creation and initiation

  • Choosing a new direction

What Was Gently Closed in 2025 Is Meant to Be Activated in 2026

When we talk about endings and beginnings, it’s easy to imagine something dramatic—doors slamming shut or bold new chapters beginning overnight. But the energy of 2025 doesn’t work that way.

The Year of the Snake and Universal Year 9 brought quieter endings. Instead of forcing change, this year invited you to outgrow what no longer fit. Many things didn’t collapse—they simply lost their grip.

You may have noticed that:

  • Certain goals no longer motivated you

  • Old roles or identities felt too small

  • Relationships subtly shifted or naturally faded

  • Repeating patterns finally stopped repeating

  • You felt less willing to abandon yourself to keep the peace

This is what it means for something to be gently closed. The emotional charge dissolved. The lesson completed itself. You no longer needed the experience to teach you who you are.

That completion is powerful.

As we move into 2026—the Year of the Horse and Universal Year 1—the energy shifts from inner processing to outward motion. This is where activation begins.

Activation doesn’t mean starting over. It means moving forward from clarity instead of confusion.

The insights, boundaries, and self-trust you cultivated in 2025 become the fuel for action in 2026. What once felt tender or uncertain now feels ready to move.

For example:

  • Boundaries learned in 2025 becomes confident self-expression in 2026

  • Emotional healing becomes freedom and momentum

  • Letting go of old identities becomes the embodiment of your true self

  • Forgiveness becomes lightness and forward movement

Nothing from 2025 was wasted. It was preparation. Even if at times it felt heavy or emotional.

The Snake helped you release what was complete. The Horse will help you run toward what’s next.

This is why reflection matters so deeply right now. When endings are honored and are consciously completed, new beginnings unfold with ease.

Why Reflection Matters Right Now

We live in a world that encourages us to move quickly from one chapter to the next without pausing to integrate what we’ve lived through.

Reflection is not passive—it’s powerful.

When you take time to reflect, you:

  • Reclaim your lessons

  • Release emotional residue

  • Close energetic loops

  • Create clarity for what comes next

This is how you step into a new year grounded instead of rushed, clear instead of scattered, aligned instead of reactive.

Your Free Reflection Journal

To support this transition, I’ve created a free Reflection Journal designed to help you consciously close out 2025 and gently step into the energy of 2026.

This journal will guide you through:

  • Releasing what no longer belongs in your next chapter

  • Integrating the lessons of the past year

  • Forgiveness and emotional completion

  • Clarifying what you’re ready to call in

  • Setting intentions rooted in self-trust and freedom

This is not about forcing resolutions.

It’s about honoring endings so beginnings can unfold naturally.

I recommend setting aside quiet time, lighting a candle, and allowing yourself to move through the prompts slowly. Pair it with a sound bath, gentle music, or a few deep breaths.

A Gentle Reminder

You don’t need to have everything figured out before the new year begins.

You only need to be honest with yourself about what is complete.

2025 is teaching us how to let go with grace.

2026 will show us how to move forward with confidence.

Honor the ending.

Trust the becoming.
