Law Of Attraction-Harnessing The Power

Updated: Apr 9

Monkey in prayer pose with beads, surrounded by text: "The Woo Woo In You, Hosted by B. Marie," on a black background. Calm vibe.

Episode 2!

In this podcast, I will go over some quotes demonstrating how the law of attraction has been around for ages, although it wasn't always referred to as the LOA or manifestation. From the Bible, the Qur'an, Shakespeare to Henry Ford, and more, they all understood this universal power.

I'll share how the law of attraction has personally impacted my life, both negatively and positively. From not making sales or money in my network and affiliate marketing business to actually buying my first home.

And finally, I will review what the difference was between me, not getting what I wanted, to bringing my dreams into reality. Then I will help you do the same with a simple exercise, that can be done anytime no matter how busy you may be!

I hope this episode helps you to harness the law of attraction into your own life, on purpose for what you DO want!

Transcription: Can I get a woo woooo!? Welcome to the Woo-Woo In You Podcast. I'm your host, B. Marie and here we are going to discuss all things manifestation, human design, spirituality, Universal Laws and of course more!  So sit back, relax and let's dive in!

What if I told you, everything, you thought and everything you focused on was what your life was made of?

Now, imagine if you could bring your deepest desires into your reality. What would your life look like? Well with the law of attraction, a principle that has fascinated people for ages, myself included, we’re going to be diving into this populated law, which is one of many Universal laws.

So what is the law of attraction? Well to make it simple, it is basically a law stating like attracts like. Meaning if you think positive, you'll have positive results, if you think negative, then you'll get negative results. So, basically, whatever you think about is what you get. For centuries, people have actually known about this law, even religious text suggests they understood the law of attraction.

I want to share some quotes with you guys. Some are taken from religious texts and some are not and I have about eight of them. So we're going to start with one from the Bible.

“The truth is you can say to this mountain go Mountain fall into the sea and if you have no doubts in your mind and believe that what you say will happen, then God will do it for you. So I tell you to ask for what you want in prayer and if you believe that you have received those things, then they will be yours.” -Mark 11-23 to 24.

This one is from the Qur'an. “Certainly, Allah does not change the conditions in which people are in until they change that, which is in themselves.”-Qur'an 13-11.

“All we are is the result of what we have thought.”

“Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.”

“With our thoughts, we make the world.” and those are three separate texts from Buddha.

“A person is what he or she thinks about all day.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

“What you radiate outward in your thoughts, feelings, mental pictures, and words you attract into your life.” -Catherine Ponder.

“Nothing is, unless our thinking makes it so.” -Shakespeare.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, either way, you are right.” -Henry Ford.

“You create your own universe as you go along.” -Winston Churchill.

“Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought.” and that is taken from the book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

So as you can see people all throughout history have been talking about the law of attraction whether they have phrased it the law of attraction or not.  But it all sums up to -what you think about is basically what you get in life.

So, maybe now you're asking, “well, I do think you know, positive thoughts. So why aren't I getting all the positive stuff in my life?”

Well, my question to you is, are you truly having your dominant and that's the key word dominant.. So your dominant thoughts, feelings, beliefs and everything else, are they truly on the positive side?

Or are you thinking about what you do not want? Let me give you some examples of what I mean.

So have you ever thought

  • “I don't want to be late for work”?

  • Or “I don't want to miss the bus, the train or the plane.”

  • How about, “I don't want to flat tire”?

  • Or “I don't want to work with these annoying ass clients and co-workers.”

  • How about, “I don't want to date these lazy guys or girls”?

Those are all like common thoughts, and if you become aware of what you're thinking, you may realize that you were actually thinking about what you do not want instead of what you do want, or perhaps you are a worrier.. I know some of those types of people in my life.

Okay, and if you are constantly worrying about how to pay your bills or you're worrying about health issues or maybe you, just in general, just worry that something bad is gonna happen, like car issues, like the flat tire or battery issues or whatever.

And then when you actually have those things happen in your life, that is the law of attraction at work, whether you realize that or not. So now I want to give you a real life example from my life of how the law of attraction worked in a negative way.

Okay. So, this was back when I was doing network marketing and affiliate marketing, I was constantly worried about making money and about not making sales. So, what happened? I basically attracted more of the worrying about making money.

Now, don't get me wrong. I did make a few sales from doing affiliate marketing, so I did make a few sales here and there, but it was nothing ever big and it was never consistent. I never made consistent sales every month.

So my thoughts back then were basically about not making sales and I was always questioning like “why doesn't anyone want to buy from me”? I was thinking that I had a lot of competition in the market because I felt like everybody was already doing network marketing and affiliate marketing. So I was like “why would anybody join me? Why me, out of everybody else that is doing network marketing and affiliate marketing?” Right?

I was also afraid that my product was priced too high for anyone to join, or to buy the affiliate products from me. I also felt like no one wanted me as an upline because I had no experience being a leader and selling massive amounts of products or recruiting people, right?

So on the outside, I was a positive person, you know, I would say positive things, I would post inspiring quotes and do affirmations, all of that. But on the inside, I have all those negative thoughts, running around in my head. So of course, that's exactly what I attracted.….No one joining, I had no freaking money. And my network and affiliate marketing business went absolutely nowhere. Okay, Nowhere. And that is why!

Now that I've given you an example of the law of attraction in the negative way. Now, I want to give you an example of the law of attraction in a positive way that has been in my personal life.

I wanted to buy a house. I was working with a realtor and a loan person for maybe a year, two years and a half, maybe even two years, not really sure. But my loan was approved. But the amount that I was approved for was very low. It wasn't a lot to work with. Either the house needed a lot of work, or it was in a bad neighborhood that I did not want to be in, or it was just too far away. It was just too far away from where I worked and from my family and all that.

But  I just kept saying like “I want to buy a house, like I'm gonna buy a house, I'm gonna find one”, right? Even though I was approved for such a low amount, I also went to open houses and half the time I could not afford the houses that I went to see, but I went to them anyway.

Like I wanted to see what I didn't like or what I did like. I'm really glad I did that because I got to see beautiful houses. They were done, great, But the layout was just odd. I remember walking into this house, and I really loved how they updated it, But the layout itself was terrible. I felt like it was a maze, like, I would get confused, right? And I was just like, yeah, I would not even buy this even if I had the money, like it was just a No-No.

So, you know, going to open houses I kept thinking, “I'm gonna buy a house, I'm gonna find it.”

And then, my friend actually ended up buying a house in 2022. And I remember after she had bought the house, she had gifts given to her from the realtor and the loan place and all that. And one of her gifts, it was a mug and it had the realtor's logo on it. I took that mug, I held it up and I took a picture with it and I remember saying out loud, “I'm going to be getting one of these soon!” and like I just said it, like with the biggest smile on my face and my friend was like “yes you are!” and she had basically recommended that I you know, try her realtor just to see if they could help me out.

So I ended up meeting with them. You know, we got coffee and I told him my story all about like I told him I was working with another realtor but I hadn't signed papers because I know you're not really supposed to, you know, work with multiple filters. Right? They said, "Well, if you do end up working with me, you will have to sign something”. Basically saying that I can't work with another realtor for like, I guess, six months or something. I was like, yeah that's fine. Whatever, I don't really mind. I decided that you know what? Yeah, I think I'm gonna try and work with them.

So once I decided that it was basically. Now getting paperwork started, they recommended I use their loan people that they, I guess, work with all the time. And of course, I filled out all the paperwork and if you've ever bought a house, You know, there is a shit ton, a shit ton of paperwork That you have to do.

And I also had to do extra stuff because it was like my first time home buyers thing. So I actually had to take an online course to even, you know, get approved for this type of loan. After the paperwork was all said, and done, I finally got approved and I got approved for way more than what I had originally got approved for, which to me, I mean, I don't understand it because nothing in my life had changed. I still had the same job. I was still making the same amount of money. I still had the same debt, right? I was just like, what? Are you sure, are you sure I'm approved for this much?

And, you know, that was a number that I could actually work with, Which means the house hunting began. Okay, so I started looking at places with the new realtor and the first place that I saw, I was like, I was pretty excited about it. Like I really liked it. Yeah, hardwood floors. Two bedrooms A big back deck And I love that deck like it had built-in benches and I don't know, I really loved it. The house did need some work itself and needed to be power washed. The backyard needed to be cleaned up. The front yard had these bushes all on like, where the windows were for the, you know, around the front. Which I was like, yeah, I'm not a big fan of those plants in front of the house like that because you know, bugs and stuff but that's just me. Okay?

So then my realtor asked me. Well, on a scale of like one to ten, how much did I like this house? Where was I at? I was like, well, I'm about a seven and I remember, they were like, “what, really on the first house?!” It was like yes I really like this house. I'm gonna say a seven.

So we went to see another house and I also really like that one. It also had hardwood floors. It was uh three bedrooms and it had like this massive garage. Probably like in-law suit type of thing. In the backyard, you could probably had fixed it up to make another mini house like a she shed or something. It was massive but that one was filled with a lot of stuff in it. Like Pottery items. I don't know if like the previous owner, their hobby was Pottery making but it had that type of stuff in there and you know this one needed some work too. Like updating the house.

It had the if you know, the brown wall panels from probably, I don't know the 70s, 50. I'm not gonna say 50s but probably 70s. If you know what I'm talking about. I do not like those. So they're so, so ugly in my opinion And I remember the house, had them all in the bedrooms and I believe the closet. So in time, you know, I got to see a few more houses but eventually I did decide to go with the very first house I saw and I put in an offer on it. This was near like the holiday seasons. You know it was in December.

I put the offer in and a few days go by then it gets rejected. I go up a little bit in price as suggested by my realtor and then a few more days go by. That also gets rejected.

So the realtor asked what I wanted to do and it was basically I learned to stand my ground. I wasn't going up anymore in price because I felt like, what I was offering was already a little bit overpriced for the house, just because of the size of the house and I told him, you know, this is my final offer, I'm not going up anymore uh take it or leave it kind of deal, right?

And this was around the Christmas, New Year's time frame and I remember the realtor he kept updating me about every other day or so you know just telling me basically he hadn't heard back, he hadn't heard any word. No emails, no phone calls, anything and I was like, it's fine. You know, it's around the holiday season, you know, you don't have to update me every other day. You know, just just let me know when you do hear from them.

Meanwhile, you know, as I had put in the offer like even the initial offer, I was just thinking like what do I want to do to the house? You know, I want to power wash it. I want to get those plants out of the front yard because I just did not like them. I wanted to clean up the backyard. I wanted to change the bathroom floor and the sink because I did not like it. Like I had all these ideas and I was just constantly thinking about that. And my motto was “it's this or something better.”

I had no bad feelings. I was basically completely neutral about it. I didn't worry or anything and then about a few days after New Years, I finally got a call. And I'm informed that my offer was accepted! And I was basically like, “oh cool. Thanks.”

Like I remember being excited. But at the same time it was like, I had already knew that it was going to be accepted. I already knew this place was mine, especially since in my head, I was already living in the house and I was already fixing the house like I wanted to.

So I basically closed in the beginning of 2023, I got to buy my very first house all by myself.

So what is the difference in this version of the Law of Attraction versus my network marketing business and the law of attraction? Well I was not worried, right? I was not worried about “oh my God am I gonna get the house, is my offer gonna be accepted? What are they gonna think? Or is it too low?”

I did not worry. I was neutral. I also did not think about what I did not want. I was thinking about what I did want. You know, I was thinking about what I wanted to do with the bathroom. What I wanted to do with the yard, what I wanted to do was like the porch and the deck and like all this stuff I was not thinking about, “Oh man, I hope they don't reject my offer, I don't want them to reject my offer or I hope…” I can't even think of anything but you get the point, right?

Whereas my in my network marketing, I was thinking about not making sales so that's what I that's what happened, right? Also, My outside attitude matched my inside attitude, right? The positive. So as I was excited outside about buying a house, I was also excited in positive in my thinking, in my emotions, in my belief that this house was mine, right? Like it's mine. I don't care what you say. I don't care if it's, you know, I didn't sign the papers yet. It's mine.

Like that was my attitude versus in my network marketing, you know, on the outside I was like, yeah. You know, everything is great and posting inspiring stuff, but on the inside like, “oh man, why isn't anybody joining? Why is nobody buying stuff?” Total totally opposite.

And I also visualized what I was going to do to the house, like I said before, it was mine, you know? I just visualized and I would like think about what the house would look like once it was power washed. And once I got rid of like the bushes in the, uh, in the front yard and like how the yard will look in the back because it had alot of overgrown, it was just a mess and I got that all cleaned up and actually turned out better than what I thought. Even when like I look back on the before and after photos, it's just like wow you can really see the difference!

So if you ask me the secret to harnessing the law of attraction is basically just believing in what you want. You might have to walk around delusional. Okay, this sounds a little crazy but hey walk around delusional, believe that you're gonna get what you want, be neutral in your feelings, okay?

If you do not get what you want, use the model that I love. “It's this, or something better.” I love that saying. And I say it all the time.

You also believe that it's on its way to you and just do what you can, and then leave the rest up to God, Source, Universe whatever you believe in.

So, for example, for the house by an example, I gave you, what, what did I do? What did I actually do? I met with realtors, I saw houses, I did paperwork. I put an offer in, that was it, okay? The rest was not up to me. I could not control the outcome because they could have rejected it and I could have went on to look at other houses and put in other offers, okay?

But just do what you can and then just leave the rest, like I said up to God, Source, Universe, whatever you believe in.

I want you just to take an area of your life And just notice your thoughts and your feelings and your beliefs around it, okay? And if you see that they are more negative than just turn it around into positive, think about what you do want and do not worry, okay, worrying never gets us anywhere.

And if you want to have fun with this and like, test out the Law of Attraction, you can start small. Like, that's what I did. You know, can you start out believing that you'll make five extra dollars today? I did that. And you know what happened to me? I got five extra dollars and you want to know how?

I went into Starbucks, and I never go in. Okay, I always go through the drive-through, but the drive-through line was way too long and I was like, I'm, I don't feel like sitting here in this long line, so I'm just going to go in and grab my coffee. So, I went in, I placed my order and then I sat down at a table and I was waiting for my coffee to be made. And while I was sitting there, I looked down, and what was on the floor? Five dollars! I kid you not and there was nobody else inside this Starbucks, except the workers who were all behind the counter.

And I was like, I literally said, I'm gonna have five more dollars. I'm gonna make or I'm gonna have, or I'm gonna receive I don't know exactly what I said, it was probably like I'm gonna receive five extra dollars today And I did. So guys, if you want to just start out small just to test it out, try it. But you have to believe that it's going to come to you. That is the key. Believe and act like it is already yours, don't stress about it. Don't worry about it. Okay, it's coming.

So now, I want to invite you to kind of just take a look at an area of your life. It could be anything. It could be your career or a business, if you have a business it could be your love life, a financial situation, where you live, your health doesn't matter. I want you to write down, or you could just notice what your thoughts are around, that area of your life, just take a moment maybe, like, five, ten minutes a day just to notice. What, what are you thinking about? What are your reocurring thoughts? Are they negative or are they positive?

So let me give you an example around finance since that’s the thing that everybody has right, take a look at your bank account. What do you feel? Are you freaking out? Are you freaking out because you don't have a lot of money in your bank account? Are you worried about your bills? Do you feel like you're not able to spend money on something, you want like clothes or a vacation if so then your situation is the way that it is now is because of the law of attraction, you're basically attracting more of your freak out. You're worried you're not having extra.

But there is good news. There's very good news guys and the opposite is also true. So if your thoughts about your finances are, “oh my gosh, look at all that, extra money I have or I have plenty of money for all my bills and I'm gonna go on vacation soon and I'm saving up for it now, so that I have plenty of, you know, fun money when I do go on vacation” then your financial situation is probably a good one because you're having all these good thoughts around money.

So with all that being said, I hope this has helped you to see how the law of attraction works in, you know, real life and my real life. And I hope you can take this and put it in use in your life and I'm gonna leave you this question: How will you harness the power of the law of attraction to bring in your desires into your reality?
